Launch of New Covid Relief Programmes at Annapoorna Trust

From June 1, 2021

We are glad to share with you, a number of additional Covid-relief activities being undertaken by Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust ("Annapoorna"). Below is a summary of the list of programmes launched:

1) Covid-Preemptive Nutritional Intervention Programme
Experts are anticipating a third wave of Covid that could potentially impact children the most. There are over 30 crore children in India, with chances of exposure to Covid being quite high. Suitable preemptive nutritional interventions especially for small children can go a long way in preventing the spread of Covid.

Over the past few years, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has been developing and perfecting the SaiSure multi nutrient supplement which was being administered along with milk to young needy school children, typically those attending rural interior government schools across India.

Annapoorna is glad to announce the launch of the Covid-Preemptive Nutritional Intervention Programme wherein, over 1 million young needy preschool, primary and higher primary school children across India will receive a kit containing one or more of the following:
1) SaiSure Nutritional supplement, 2) immuno-boosters (like vitamins, Zinc, Amla etc.), 3) masks, 4) sanitizers, 5) instructions pamphlet on safety, 6) and activity/colouring book - all supplied totally free of charge.

We believe that these kits will go a long way in keeping our children safe, healthy and free of Covid.

2) Relief Programme for Cooks
In addition, Annapoorna is announcing the launch of supply of free monthly rations supplied for cooks who are economically impacted by the closure of government schools where we were serving.

3) Education for "Orphaned" Children
Many children have been rendered parent-less owing to Covid-related deaths in the family. With the feeling that God is the True Parent, these children will now have the opportunity to enroll and study at Sri Sathya Sai Gurukulam (group of educational institutions) located across Karnataka, Siddipet (Telangana) and Madurai (TN). All education and boarding will be provided free of cost. This is for students in classes 6th through 10th. For those in lower classes, free educational scholarships will given to the impacted children, (in collaboration with Prashanthi Balamandira Trust).

These are our humble efforts to make a real difference to those impacted by the ongoing pandemic.

Samastha Lokaha Sukhino Bhavanthu!
May all the people in all the worlds be happy!

Free Meals distribution to Bangalore Hospital Staff

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust is pleased to announce collaboration with Adamya Chetana to deliver free meals - lunch and dinner - to over 3,500 hospital staff attending to COVID patients at over 40 hospitals across Bangalore.

With overwhelming number of patients, the hospital staff have been stretched to limits, with hotels and catering business shutting shop. This service enables the staff to have hot meals in a timely manner.

On this occasion, here is the message from founder of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust - Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, recorded at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur district.
